National Sintonía

The body of management and operation is made up of the representatives of the main clusters, by public administrators and the intermediate organizations of the society, coordinated by researchers and academics with recognized training and experience, represented by regions in the country.

 

The structure of Sintonía is made up of three important spheres:

1. Governing Body

 

1.1 National Council

 

Formed by a president and a representative from each region, it represents Sintonía México at an international level.

 

1.2 International Advisory Council.

 

Sintonía has strategic support and support from the most recognized experts in the field of cluster development and competitiveness:

Dr. Michael E. Porter

 

Dr Michael Porter directs the Strategy and Competitiveness Institute of Harvard Business School and is an Honorary Member of Sintonia since its founding.

 

 In April 2012, Dr. Porter gave the Keynote Conference for the launch of the initiative, where he stated that "Sintonía" is capable of generating a shared vision, and has the means to create shared value, hence the great importance of it.

 

He personally advises the Director of Sintonía and several regional leaders with whom he meets annually to share crucial aspects of the Competitiveness Microeconomics Course.

Dr. Amit Kapoor

 

Dr. Amit Kapoor is Honorary President of the Institute for Competitiveness of India with whom Sintonía maintains a collaboration agreement. He is a member of the Hall of Fame of Harvard Business School, in the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness of Harvard Business School, and is an international advisor of Sintonía.

 

He has visited Sintonía twice, the first on June 26, 2013 and the second on October 6, 201, giving lectures, workshops and working directly with Sintonía.

Rich Bryden

 

Rich Bryden works with Michael Porter in the continuous development of the Cluster Mapping Project, at the Strategy and Competitiveness Institute of Harvard Business School, serving as Director of Information Products, and is an international advisor for Sintonía.

 

Rich Bryden gave the lecture: "Clusters and Competitiveness: Frameworks and Applied Research" in June 2012 at the UPAEP.

Jon Azua

 

The works of Sintonía began with the presence of Jon Azua, on February 13, 2012.

 

 Jon Azúa is Professor of Competitiveness in the M.O.C. network of the Harvard Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness and was Vice President and Minister of Industry and Energy of the Basque Government (1991-1995) after an intense career in the Basque Public Administration.

 

Jon Azúa visited Sintonía for the second time on May 22, 2014, dictating the conference: "Relevant Factors for the Competitiveness and Prosperity of the Regions".

Ifor Iffowcs

 

Ifor founded Cluster Navigators in 1997 and is an expert in issues of competitiveness, clustering and innovation. Ifor's approach is to address the practical aspects of cluster development and smart specialization.

 

Dr. Ifor Iffowcs has been part of the Sintonía’s International Advisory Council since 2013, and was in Sintonía in November 2014, where he had the opportunity to meet the clusters and members of Sintonía and develop a pilot plan for the growth of clusters.

Dr. Fred Van Eenennaan

 

Dr. Van Eenennaan has extensive experience as a strategic consultant and researcher for various industries. In 2012, he was honored as a member of the Hall of Fame at Harvard Bussines School due to his pragmatic contribution to the competitiveness of the clusters, as well as his extensive participation in the MOC network throughout the world. He is co-founder of "The Decision Institute" located in the Netherlands, dedicated to promoting the strategic change of companies and their internationalization.

 

For the second time Dr. Van Eenennaan was in Sintonia, giving the conference: Economic Development Model from the Dutch Perspective.

2. National and Regional Sintonía

 

The Sintonía’s model is replicated throughout the country, meeting the needs of each region. To these headquarters, located in different States of the Republic, we are calling them Regional Sintonía. Each of them has its own characteristics, and they are housed in the universities belonging to the network of the Strategy and Competitiveness Institute of Harvard University (ISC, Harvard).

 

National Sintonía will be conformes by the headquarters in Regional Sintonía.
